Rumen pH is a key parameter for the better ruminal function. Due to intense microbial fermentation of feedstuffs, a wide range of organic acids is produced in the rumen. Some of these acids can accumulate and reduce ruminal pH. If rumen pH is not stabilized, it negatively affects feed intake, microbial metabolism, and nutrient degradation. This results in acidosis, inflammation, diarrhea and loss in milk fat. Kembio SC, a commercial live yeast culture, is a solution to curb these problems. It contains Saccharomyces cerevisiae strain particularly chosen for its positive effect on the performance of lactating dairy animals. This product has a high count of live yeast and it is designed to be incorporated in dairy feed. Kembio SC increases nutrient utilization and milk yield.

Kembio SC (G)-20 is a variant of this product. It a thermostable granular product designed to be incorporated in pelleted feed, It is thermostable at 95°C for 30 seconds.
